  1. “Nothing gold can stay” is like saying that no one is a child forever and that you need to cherish your childhood and make the most out of it. As the poem says “dawn goes down today meaning” that nothing lasts forever. Also, the part “her early leafs a flower but only so and hour then leaf subsides to leaf so Eden sank to grief”. This means that flowers only bloom to their fullest for a short while then it will bloom slowly starts to be nothing. Meaning that all things wonderful can’t stay, this is why Eden is sad. The part “Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold” means that the best thing in life represented by gold can’t last forever represented by the second line.

  2. Throughout this poem, Frost is summarizing the rise and fall of nature. He uses leaves to decribe the different seasons. Seeing the leaf as green is its hardest color to hold. It means that green is best and most healthiest color of the leaves but the green only lasts for so long and at some point in time, the leaves always change color. The green color of the leaves is compared with gold because gold isn't very plentiful meaning nothing can stay gold forever just like the leaves when they are green.

  3. "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is poem written by Robert Frost. It once again includes nature and human emotions. Frost is using nature and gold to explain nothing can last forever. The good things in life, "gold" can only last for a short amount of time. For example, the poem mentions the leaf being a flower, but it only lasts an hour. The gold is the flower and it's only there temporary.

  4. The poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is a poem by Robert Frost. He includes many nature scenes and human emotions throughout the poem. Frost compares green leaves to gold in the poem. He says that gold is rare and valuable, just as when the leaves are green they are meaningful and alive. Gold is also valuable, just as the leaves are when they turn green. However, all good things can only last for a certain time, just as the green leaves, or the "gold" things in life. The flowers and green leaves are all the "gold" symbols because they are all only there temporarily.

  5. In the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" Frost is describing nature and the seasons. He uses leaves as the subject to describe that everything can't stay great forever. I feel a deeper meaning to this poem is that most things in life start off great and wonderful but there will be a time when it turns dark. Everything can't always be and stay great. He describes this by saying that in the morning the leaves are the most beautiful. He then says that it is the hardest to keep the leaves in that state. He then sums up the poem by saying it can't be the morning forever it has to return to the normal day.

  6. "nothing gold can stay" is about loss of innocence. Frost uses nature to compare to life. He says at first everything is gold, and the world is somewhat perfect. It then turns into a flower, which is okay but worse than gold. Finally it turns to leaves and it turns to grief. The phases of nature show how someone sees how the world is not innocent.

  7. In the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" talks about a time. It is that gold hour in the morning when the sun is just rising. As Frost explains, it gives everything a hue of gold. But since it is only lasting for an hour it can never stay. Which is the whole reason of the title being "Nothing Gold Can Stay". The hidden point of this poem could be that everything will lose its "gold hue" or value. It could be an anything from an emotion to an actual object that you think is as valuable as gold itself.

  8. The poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" involves nature just like many other poems by Robert Frost. The poem is describing the times of the day, dawn, morning, afternoon, dusk, and night. Also, the poem is probably about good feelings. Happiness could be input for gold because it says Nothing gold can stay, which could mean that nothing good and happy could say forever it must move on. It could also be about anticipation. If you anticipate something being completely awesome and exciting, it has a high point in your mind and you think highly of it. When you experience the thing that you have anticipated you see that it isn't what you thought it was going to be and you get disappointed.

  9. "Nothing Gold Can Stay is a poem written by Robert Frost. The poem compares nature and gold. I think he says that youth is valuable like gold. But you can't be a child forever, so enjoy it while you can. Also, he is stating that some of the great things in life are only around for a short while, so don't get too attached to a good thing, because it won't last forever. In the poem, Frost states, "Her early leaf's a flower;/But only so an hour", and I think this shows that youth is beautiful but it only last for a short while.

  10. The poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" has a sad tone to it. He is including emotions and of course nature. He uses nature and gold to explain that nothing will last forever. In life everything must move on to other stages. It can't stay beautiful forever. He is describing the beginning and end of nature. Gold is very rare so when its around it is wanted and looked at highly so when the leaf is green it is wanted and beautiful but eventually has to fade.

  11. poem seems to only be talking about how new leaves only keep their light, gold-hued color for a short time until they turn green, and how some leaves start off as a flower, but they don't stay that way. Which in my interpretation its saying how things start off wonderful and then can be robbed of its beuty. The poem's tone in my opinion was depressing

  12. In Frost's poem, he is describing the different seasons and how each season affects him. He incorporates human emotion in the falling of the leaves during the fall, and the blooming of the flowers ing spring. He means to say that things that are beautiful cannot stay beautiful beacuse then there would be no meaning to them; Things need to remain temporary to remain beautiful in nature.

  14. Robert Frost's "Nothing Gold Can Stay" delivers a message along the lines of nothing is great forever, but while it is still young, it can be a very beautiful thing. He says that "Nature's first green is gold", which I believe is that when the green of the Earth comes up, it is gold in a metaphorical sense. He believes that when the Earth becomes green again, that it is something to be compared with the sheer beauty of gold. But, alas, no gold can stay, as soon the rest of the green would consume the bits of green that was once almost as pretty as gold, making it nothing more than a mass of green.

  15. "Nothing Gold Can Stay" compares leaves to gold. He implys that gold is very rare, uncommon, and valuable. He also says that the leaves of green give a meaning to life. He believes that good things don't last forever, just like the green leaves die eventually, or the "gold" parts of your life. Anything that withers away such as the leaves on the trees is seen as a "gold" object.

  16. In Robert Frosts poem, "Nothing Gold Can Stay", is comparing childhood to life. He is saying that you can't stay a child forever and one day it will end. As he states, "So dawn goes down to day Nothing gold can stay". He is explaing and comparing how even though everyone loves being a child, one day it will come to an end. When Robert says, " Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf So Eden sank to grief" he is saying Eden is sad because flowers bloom for only a short amount of time. Eden is sad that childhood only last for a certain amount of time and soon enough you are faced with being an adult."Nature's first green is gold,Her hardest hue to hold" is saying that nature is green and full of color. Also, that it is young which is going back to childhood and represents childhood as gold which is the hardest thing to hold on to.

  17. "Nothing Gold Can Stay" written by Robert frost is a poem showing the passing of a beautiful time in nature. How nature can turn into something so beautiful but it does not stay that way. Time goes on and fades back to the way it was. The poem has a sad tone to it because the beautiful time in nature will not last for long, “Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour. “
He connects the human emotions with nature. This shows how the beauty of nature cannot last forever but also how nothing lasts forever.

  19. Nothing Gold Can Stay seems to be about the seasons changing. That nature is gold. Nature never stays though. It changes with the season or is destroyed by others. Frost usually refers to nature as tranquil. He values it highly. To Frost, Nature is Gold and that is how he lives.

  20. "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is a poem written by Robert Frost, just like every other poem it includes Nature. He is comparing Gold witch is what man wants most in this world to a flower, the flower doesn't last forever instead it last for and hour. By him saying this it shows that Gold will not last forever and people shouldn't work for money.

  21. Nothing Gold Can Stay is a way to talk about how nothing can stay youthful. He uses nature to show this. He was trying to say you're only young for a certain amount of time, like the leaves are only that certain color for a period of time. The color gold represented innocence.

  23. It could mean that not everything will stay beautfiful. In the poem he means nature and the beauty of it, but there could also be an underlying meaning that everything will be beautiful at one point, then eventually it will cease to exist. You should try your hardest when you're beautiful because when you're not anymore, you'll want to wither and die.

  24. Robert Frost's poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is about how beauty is hard to maintain and never lasts forever. What Frost is saying is that beauty must be enjoyed while it lasts because it lasts only a short while. Frost uses gold as the beautiful object so the poem can relate to everyone. Although everyone may believe different things are beautiful almost everyone agrees gold is very valuable so everyone, therefore, the gold relates to all people and not just those who believe the one topic is beautiful.

  25. In Robert Frost's poem "Nothing Can Stay Gold" he describes the theory of nothing lasting forever. Also, proposing the idea of cherishing the good things in life while they are still present. In this poem, like many others, he uses references to nature and includes human emotions. By saying “Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. “, Frost implies that youthful days are beautiful, but they will soon end over time. The poems tone is very accepting of life and dealing with the unchangeable aspects of life.

  27. In the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" Robert Frost analyzes the different seasons. He says "Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold. "(Frost). He is talking about spring ans summer and how they seem so short because they are the most beautiful. He also says "Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief, "(Frost). In these lines he is talking about winter and how the season is very dark and depressing. I think you could also connect the poem to the life cycle. Birth to death is represented by seasons and how each life is just as important than the next.

  28. In this poem Frost is describing nature and death. He is comparing the green leaf to gold. Saying how that is the best kind of leaf; like how gold is the best type of metal. The green leaf cannot stay around forever; it will eventually die. I feel like he is also comparing the death of the green leaf to the loss of happiness. You cannot be happy forever but its amazing while it lasts. To take that one a step further he could also be referring to a relationship and the cycle of the season.

  29. I think that the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" means that not everything will be perfect forever. Like in nature a flower could bloom and be the most beautiful thing ever created in the universe. But no matter what happen's that flower will eventually whither and die. Also it relates to a newborn child, no matter what happens to the child or what goes on he/she will eventually grow into adolescence then adulthood and will eventually die aswell. Nothing will ever last forever is the main message that i get from this poem

  30. Nothing Gold Can Stay, has a meaning that says, most things that are beautiful, will not stay beautiful for ever. Not everything lastsl like the leaf that only lasted a brief time before it died. So take life and seize your moment.
